A circle of eternal love….
That’s what Tyler & I bought this weekend. Our circles of eternal love.
This week’s #ThoughtofThanks is in honor of wedding ring shopping on Saturday. The sun was shining, it was unseasonably warm (yet I was still frozen), we had on our matching shades & I had the chance to leave my house for a little day-date at the mall to pick our wedding bands.
One step closer to the wedding, married life, & pledging my dedication to the man I love. The next time we will slip on those rings will be on our wedding day as we say our vows in front of God & all our loved ones.
The rings are so much more than pieces of jewelry…they are a symbol of love that has no beginning and no end. The love that God shows us. The love that He teaches us to show others. The love He blesses us to feel with other human beings. And once we put on those rings we enter into a sealed covenant with each other & God. And a chord of three strands is not easily broken.
“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:12, NIV
I can’t wait to be one of those strands.

Freedom! USA! Your dad and I went to see 13 HOURS. We’re blessed to be Americans, protected by the great men and women in the armed services.

Amen! I know I take that for granted all the time…our freedom certainly did not come free.
