“Commitment to Christ moves people out of their comfort zones…”
Today’s #ThoughtofThanks is a little different. Rather than featuring something I am thankful for in my personal life (haven’t you had enough of that already?!) I’ll be featuring a friend, a sister in Christ & sorority, who has taken a giant leap of faith to answer the calling God placed on her heart.
To all of our brothers & sisters in Christ who are living courageously, boldly, & spreading God’s name to the ends of the Earth I say: Thank you. Thank you for dedicating your life, comfort, & personal dreams to follow Jesus & proclaim His glory even in the midst of danger. I am surely thankful for you.
Meet Erin Waggoner.
Erin is a 23-year-old graduate of Western Kentucky University who loves people, the great outdoors, and of course, Jesus. Since college graduation Erin’s heart has undergone great transformation as she has truly discovered, “What it means to be the hands & feet of Christ. It has definitely changed my perspective on life. I love to share His word, but most of all, show His love.”
God is doing HUGE things in Erin’s life as He recently provided her the opportunity of a lifetime…
“I guess it’s time I announce my big news — I WILL BE SERVING ON THE APRIL 2016 WORLD RACE TOUR! The World Race is a mission-based organization that sends missionaries to 11 COUNTRIES IN 11 MONTHS! The specific route that I’m going on will send me to what we call the “10/40 Window”, or the most unreached areas of the world, to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work with orphanages, minister to women and children who are victims of human trafficking, and help with the refugee crisis. My team’s goal is to bring HOPE, through God’s love, to many tribes and nations who have never heard the name of Jesus before. I will have many challenges and obstacles over the next 11+ months, one of which being financial support. Help support my journey by FOLLOWING & SHARING my blog, but most importantly praying for me and my team. I’m so excited to see how God is going to use me & work through me!
